A vibrant blood orange smoothie with frozen banana, Greek yogurt, and honey. Packed with Vitamin C and antioxidants, it’s a healthy and delicious start to your day!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large blood oranges, peeled and segmented
  • 1 frozen banana, sliced
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt (full-fat or non-fat)
  • 1/4 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • A pinch of sea salt
  • Ice cubes (optional)
  • Optional toppings: blood orange slice, chia seeds, granola

Instructions

  1. Prepare Blood Oranges: Wash, peel, and segment blood oranges, reserving the juice.
  2. Blend Ingredients: Add blood orange segments, frozen banana, Greek yogurt, milk, honey (if using), vanilla extract, and salt to a blender.
  3. Add Ice (Optional): Add ice cubes for a thicker smoothie.
  4. Blend Until Smooth: Blend on high speed until smooth and creamy. Add more milk if too thick, or more ice/banana if too thin.

  6. Add Reserved Juice: Pour in reserved blood orange juice and blend briefly.
  7. Serve: Pour into a glass, add optional toppings (blood orange slice, chia seeds, granola), and serve immediately.
