A quick and healthy Date Yogurt Bowl with creamy Greek yogurt, sweet date paste, crunchy granola, and almond butter. Customize with toppings for a satisfying breakfast or snack!

  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (full-fat or non-fat)
  • 23 Medjool dates, pitted
  • 1/4 cup granola (with nuts and seeds preferred)
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter (or any nut butter)
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Optional toppings: fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries), shredded coconut, cacao nibs, honey or maple syrup

Instructions

  1. (Optional) Soak Dates: If dates are dry, soak in warm water for 10-15 minutes. Drain well.
  2. Chop Dates: Finely chop 1-2 dates for topping. Set aside.
  3. Make Date Paste: Place remaining pitted dates in a small food processor or blender.
  4. Blend Date Paste: Add 1 tablespoon of water and blend until smooth and creamy. Add more water (1 teaspoon at a time) if needed. Scrape down sides as necessary.
  5. Yogurt Base: Spoon Greek yogurt into a bowl.
  6. Add Date Paste: Drizzle date paste over yogurt and swirl gently.
  7. Sprinkle Cinnamon: Sprinkle cinnamon evenly over the yogurt and date paste.
  8. Add Granola: Sprinkle granola over the yogurt.
  9. Add Chopped Dates: Sprinkle chopped dates over the granola.
  10. Add Almond Butter: Drizzle almond butter over the granola and dates.
  11. Add Chia Seeds: Sprinkle chia seeds over the bowl.
  12. Add Optional Toppings: Add any desired toppings like berries, coconut, cacao nibs, honey, or maple syrup.
  13. Serve and enjoy!
