Crispy, flavorful air fryer fries with garlic and parmesan. Russet potatoes soaked, seasoned, and air-fried to golden perfection for an irresistible side or snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs Russet Potatoes, peeled and cut into ½ inch thick fries
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Onion Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • ½ teaspoon Paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt, or to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon Black Pepper, or to taste
  • ¼ cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Optional: Garlic Aioli or Ranch Dressing, for dipping

Instructions

  1. Soak the Fries: Place the cut fries in a large bowl filled with cold water. Let them soak for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours. Change the water if it becomes cloudy.
  2. Dry the Fries Thoroughly: Drain the fries well. Pat them completely dry with paper towels or a clean kitchen towel.
  3. Season the Fries: In a large bowl, toss the dried fries with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper. Ensure even coating.
  4. Preheat the Air Fryer (If Necessary): Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) if required by your model.
  5. Arrange the Fries in the Air Fryer Basket: Place the seasoned fries in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding; cook in batches if needed.
  6. Air Fry the Fries: Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through. Adjust cooking time as needed for golden brown and crispy fries.
  7. Shake the Basket: Halfway through cooking, shake the basket to ensure even cooking.
  8. Prepare Garlic Parmesan Mixture: While fries are cooking, combine grated parmesan cheese and minced garlic in a small bowl.
  9. Toss with Garlic Parmesan: Once fries are cooked, transfer them to a clean bowl. Add the garlic parmesan mixture and toss well to coat.
  10. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
