Garlic Steak Bites: A Delicious and Easy Recipe for Meat Lovers

Tender and flavorful Garlic Steak Bites made from marinated sirloin steak, seared to perfection, and finished with fresh lemon juice and parsley. Perfect as an appetizer or main dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound of sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 4 tablespoons of olive oil, divided
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Juice of 1 lemon

Instructions

  1. Cut the sirloin steak into bite-sized pieces, about 1-inch cubes, cutting against the grain for maximum tenderness.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the steak pieces with salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and dried oregano. Toss until evenly coated.
  3. Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil to the bowl and mix well to coat the steak pieces.
  4. Let the steak marinate for at least 15 minutes, or up to an hour in the refrigerator for enhanced flavor.
  5. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat (a cast-iron skillet is preferred).
  6. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil to the hot skillet, swirling to coat the bottom.
  7. Carefully add the marinated steak bites in a single layer, avoiding overcrowding. Cook in batches if necessary.
  8. Cook for 2-3 minutes on one side without moving, then flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes on the other side until browned and medium-rare. Adjust cooking time for desired doneness.
  9. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and stir for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  10. Squeeze the juice of one lemon over the steak bites and toss to combine.
  11. Transfer the steak bites to a serving platter.
  12. Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the top for garnish.
  13. Serve immediately while hot, as an appetizer or main dish with sides like roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or salad.
  14. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet or microwave.

Notes

  • For a more luxurious option, consider using ribeye or tenderloin instead of sirloin.
  • Adjust the cooking time based on your preferred level of doneness.
