Keto Matcha Latte: The Ultimate Guide to a Delicious and Healthy Drink

Creamy and energizing keto matcha latte, perfect for a low-carb lifestyle. Made with almond milk, matcha powder, and MCT oil for a delicious and healthy drink.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or coconut milk for a richer flavor)
  • 1 teaspoon matcha powder (high quality culinary grade recommended)
  • 1 tablespoon MCT oil (or coconut oil)
  • 1 tablespoon heavy cream (optional, for extra creaminess)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Sweetener to taste (erythritol, stevia, monk fruit – adjust to your preference)
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • Optional toppings: whipped cream (keto-friendly), sprinkle of matcha powder

Instructions

  1. Sift the Matcha: Sift matcha powder into a small bowl using a fine-mesh sieve.
  2. Create a Matcha Paste (Optional): Add 1-2 tablespoons of hot (not boiling) water to the sifted matcha. Whisk until a smooth, dark green paste forms.
  3. Heat the Almond Milk: Gently heat almond milk in a saucepan over medium heat (do not boil) or microwave for 1-2 minutes until warm.
  4. Combine Ingredients: Pour heated almond milk into a blender. Add matcha paste (or sifted matcha powder), MCT oil (or coconut oil), heavy cream (if using), vanilla extract, sweetener, and salt.
  5. Blend for Creaminess: Blend on high speed for 30-60 seconds until frothy and well combined. Start on low speed and gradually increase to prevent splattering.
  6. Pouring and Garnishing: Pour the blended latte into your favorite mug. If you’re feeling fancy, top it with some keto-friendly whipped cream and a sprinkle of matcha powder.
  7. Adjusting Sweetness: Taste your latte and adjust the sweetener to your liking.
  8. Enjoying Your Latte: Sip and savor your warm, creamy, and energizing keto matcha latte!

Notes

  • For the smoothest latte, create a matcha paste before blending.
  • Be careful when blending hot liquids. Start on a low speed and gradually increase.
  • Adjust sweetener to your preference.
  • Experiment with variations like adding spices, cocoa powder, or using different milk options.
  • If matcha is clumpy after blending, sift again or use a milk frother.
  • Use high-quality matcha for the best flavor and color.
