These Oreo Truffles are a delicious no-bake treat made from crushed Oreo cookies and creamy cream cheese, all coated in rich chocolate. Easy to prepare and perfect for any occasion, these delightful bites are sure to impress your guests!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (15.35 oz) Oreo cookies
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (optional, for thinning chocolate)
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (optional, for drizzling)
  • Sprinkles or crushed Oreos for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the Oreo cookies in a food processor and pulse until finely crushed, resembling a fine crumb (about 30 seconds to 1 minute).
  2. Add the softened cream cheese to the crushed Oreos and pulse until well combined and dough-like. Scrape down the sides as needed.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
  4. After chilling, scoop out about 1 tablespoon of the Oreo mixture and roll it into a ball (about 1 inch in diameter).
  5. Place the rolled truffles on a parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving space between each.
  6. Refrigerate the truffles for another 15-20 minutes to firm up.
  7. Melt the chocolate using a double boiler or microwave. For a double boiler, simmer water in the bottom pot and stir chocolate chips in the top pot until smooth. For the microwave, heat in 30-second intervals, stirring in between.
  8. If the chocolate is too thick, add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil to thin it out.
  9. Dip each truffle into the melted chocolate using a fork or toothpick, allowing excess chocolate to drip off before placing it back on the baking sheet.
  10. Sprinkle crushed Oreos or sprinkles on top while the chocolate is still wet.
  11. Repeat until all truffles are coated. Drizzle any leftover melted chocolate over the truffles.
  12. Melt the white chocolate chips using the same method as the semi-sweet chocolate.
  13. Transfer melted white chocolate to a zip-top bag, snip a corner, and drizzle over the dipped truffles.
  14. Add more sprinkles or crushed Oreos on top for decoration.
  15. Allow the truffles to set in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Ensure the cream cheese is softened for easy mixing.
  • Customize the size of the truffles based on your preference.
  • Feel free to experiment with different types of chocolate for coating.
